About Kansas City Foot & Ankle
We Believe in…
First Class Medicine
World Class Patient Experiences
We believe that a visit to your doctor’s office should actually be a pleasant experience. At Kansas City Foot and Ankle and the Heel Pain Center of Kansas City, we strive to make sure that every patient’s experience with us is not just pleasant, but first class. We do this by partnering our patients with experienced, compassionate physicians and staff to find the right treatment options for their lifestyle, all while using the latest technology to get them back on their feet quickly and comfortably.
We have enjoyed a successful practice and have earned a respectable reputation in the medical community. We have done this by providing quality, effective, compassionate care for our patients; listening to them, creating an atmosphere in the office where their doctor’s visit is actually a nice experience, and by maintaining good communication and rapport with referring physicians. Our goal is to continue to expand the practice; continue to grow in both volume and reputation, all-the-while striving to improve upon the services we provide for our patients.
...Practicing in Kansas City:
Kansas City is a great place to practice podiatry, in that we are integrated into the general medical community and maintain an excellent rapport with local physicians. We have full active staff, surgical and admitting privileges at most hospitals in the metropolitan area. Missouri and Kansas podiatrists also enjoy full ankle privileges. With a population in the metro of over 2 million people and less than 70 active podiatrists, it’s not difficult to have a busy practice in Kansas City. Additionally, ownership in local, profitable outpatient surgery centers will be available to any doctor joining this practice.
...Living in Kansas City
I came to Kansas City for three years to complete my residency training in 1990. Twenty-eight years later, I am enjoying a wonderful family, a very successful practice, and the daily living in Kansas City, taking advantage of its wonderful Midwestern lifestyle. When I first moved here, the thing that stood out for me was how friendly the people are. It’s almost impossible to walk past someone in any hallway in any building without hearing a “hi”, or more likely a “hey”. Same when running on any of our miles and miles of running and biking trails. And rarely do you hear a horn honk.
Getting around is easy and one of the reasons that make KC a stress-free place to live. Wide boulevards crisscross the metro and the highways make getting around a breeze.
The cost of living is very reasonable here in KC, making home ownership extremely affordable.
The home of KC Masterpiece and Kansas City Blues, Kansas City is known for Blues, Jazz, and Barbeque and there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy it all with live music clubs all over and great outdoor music festivals in the summer. Barbeque restaurants seem to be on every corner, and a world-class barbeque cook-off caps off every summer at the American Royal.
Kansas City is home to the 2015 MLB World Series Champion, Kansas City Royals. The always exciting Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL and Sporting KC of the MLS call Kansas City home as well. Both Royals and Chiefs stadiums have recently been remodeled in grand fashion; Kauffman Stadium (which recently hosted the 2012 MLB All-Star Game and the 2014 and 2015 World Series) and Arrowhead Stadium. They sit right next to each other at the beautiful and easily accessible Truman Sports Complex. Sporting KC also boasts a new and trendy stadium set among The Legends shopping destination.
Kansas City’s Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a beautiful 285,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art theater facility. The Sprint Center downtown regularly hosts major concerts and sporting events including the Big 12 Tournament. The recent revitalization of the downtown area boasts high-end shopping, award-winning restaurants, exciting nightlife and more in the Downtown Power and Light District.
If you’re into water sports like my family is, several recreational lakes dot the metro area. And just a short drive to the southeast, Lake of the Ozarks offers world-class boating, fishing, golfing and shopping opportunities. Lake of the Ozarks has over 1,100 miles of shoreline.
And you’ll hear this all the time; “Kansas City is a great place to raise your kids.” Why? Because it’s such a family oriented town, with top notch schools, an endless variety of community sports and activities, exciting college and major league sports teams and a great system of parks, lakes, and trails. And how about when you want to get away? Centrally located in the U.S., and with Kansas City International Airport a Southwest Airlines hub, Kansas City offers easy access to both coasts and anywhere in between in just a couple of hours.
Concerned about your kid’s education? Of course, you are. So you should know that several of the metropolitan area’s school systems are nationally ranked. For example:
A total of 19 Kansas City-area public high schools ranked among the best nationwide, according to a 2018 U.S. News & World Report ranking
Forty-seven high school seniors were named National Merit semifinalists during the 2014-15 school year.
The districts bond rating continues to be excellent with an AAA rating from Moody’s and an AA+ rating from Standard and Poor’s. The excellent rating helps to save patron tax dollars by allowing the district better interest rates on the bonds sold.
In 2014, Blue Valley Schools was named a District of Distinction by District Administration Magazine for its innovative Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS).
